DeepDive
Aquarium management for people who actually know what they're doing.

What it is
DeepDive is an offline-first aquarium management app with AI-powered insights. It tracks water parameters, manages livestock, monitors equipment, and gives you contextual knowledge about your species — all without requiring an internet connection to look at your own fish.
Why it exists
Every aquarium app we tried was either a glorified spreadsheet, a social media platform that happens to log water changes, or something that requires you to create an account and stay online to check your own ammonia levels. We wanted something that respects the fact that fishkeepers already know what they’re doing — they just need a tool that keeps up.
What makes it different
Offline-first, cloud-optional. Your data lives on your device. Cloud sync via Cloudflare D1 is there when you want it, invisible when you don’t.
AI that’s actually useful. Species knowledge engine powered by Cloudflare Workers AI and Vectorize. Ask it about compatibility, get contextual care advice, surface insights from your parameter history. Not a chatbot — a research tool that knows your tanks.
Built for the domain. Water parameter tracking with trend analysis. Species profiles sourced from FishBase and the Catalogue of Life. Maintenance scheduling that understands nitrogen cycles. Equipment inventory with alert thresholds.
Native performance. Tauri 2 with a Rust backend. SQLite with compile-time checked queries via SQLx. Starts in under a second, uses less RAM than a browser tab.
The name
A deep dive is what you do when you’re researching a new species at 1am instead of sleeping. It’s also what your fish do. It works on every level.
